Solana Blinks Enabled on Bonfida

Bonfida, a blockchain infrastructure protocol, has enabled support for Solana Blinks, allowing users to register .sol domains directly on X.

As per a June 27 post, the protocol announced that users can now register domains on X thanks to Solana Blinks, which turns on-chain data into shareable links.

Solana Blinks on X

Solana Actions and Blockchain Links, or Blinks for short, is a feature that connects the Solana network to any website via a shareable link. It provides multiple applications and use cases; crowdfunding, online purchases, on-chain voting, and more.

With Bonfida, which provides decentralized Solana Name Services (SNS), users can replace complex wallet addresses with customizable, human-readable domain names (e.g., bob-sol), similar to Ethereum’s ENS. This makes it easier to send and receive cryptocurrency by using a readable name instead of a lengthy alphanumeric address

Another DeFi app that recently integrated Blinks is Phantom, the most popular wallet in terms of user count.

Users on Bonfida will be able to use Phantom to transfer tokens. To do so, they must enable Solana Actions in the settings section to transfer assets on X.

Among other innovations, Light Protocol recently introduced ZK Compression, which would use Zero-knowledge proofs to slash the cost of creating tokens and accounts on Solana by 99%
