Arnault Helier Quantitative Advisory (AHQA) (www.ahqa.com) is diversifying its advisory asset allocation spectrum with cryptocurrencies and crypto-assets.
Initially, AHQA will advise a limited number of its clients on specific special situations within the crypto space.
Edinburgh, June 6, 2022 – Arnault Helier Quantitative Advisory (AHQA – www.ahqa.com) has begun advising select clients on special situation opportunities within the crypto-asset sector.
Currently, cryptocurrencies and crypto-assets are not part of our firm’s core-asset allocation strategy due to the unusually high volatility and lack of typical fundamentals; however, many of AHQA’s clients are people that build their wealth in risky industries like oil and gas, and most have vigorously expressed interest in the crypto asset class.
“Cryptocurrencies are a market still in formation, where the primary players are in process of being established. In the last 24 months, we have seen a massive increase in capital inflows by medium and large institutional players. Even institutions that were initially critical of the space, have now established trading desk dedicated to crypto-assets. Our philosophy revolves around the principals of efficient capital allocation, and adhering to these principals, we are bound to integrate cryptocurrencies into our advisory allocation strategy. However, we are taking this step by step, and firmwide, probably less than 20% of our clients will have access to crypto recommendations and bespoke strategy and allocation plans. These are clients that fit what we classify as “Speculative High Risk” Profile – clients with the highest risk appetite.” – Arto Xavier Heikkinen, Head of Quantitative Strategies with AHQA.
“Arnault Helier Quantitative Advisory (AHQA) has not set a prescriptive allocation, but anecdotally, we have seen investors allocate between 1% and 9% (with some as high as 15%) of their alternatives investments in the crypto/digital space. This can be through direct exposure to the underlying digital asset, or they can invest with managers endorsed by AHQA, who can source opportunities across a broader range.” – Arto Xavier Heikkinen, Head of Quantitative Strategies with AHQA.
