Three months after a Diesel RAID at Fiat Chrysler (FCA) and Iveco about 300 vehicle owners have reported up to now, a complaint against the two producers, informed the public Prosecutor’s office in Frankfurt/Main. In about 90 percent of the cases, going to be campers. The investigations revolve around the suspicion of fraud with so-called cut-Off devices in the exhaust gas purification. In July, investigators had the seat of FCA Germany in Frankfurt, Iveco in Ulm, as well as other objects in Italy and Switzerland searched. Nine Accused are in the focus. The two companies have stressed to cooperate with the authorities. Except for Fiat and Iveco vehicles, there is also the FCA brands Alfa Romeo and Jeep. According to investigators, more than 200 000 vehicles in Germany are affected, including many special shapes, such as campers.
