Lee Kun-Hee was regarded as a loner among the heads of the South Korean family conglomerates. Under his leadership, Samsung became the technology giant and the flagship company of the country.
The Board of Directors of Samsung Electronics, Lee Kun-Hee, is dead. He died Sunday in a hospital in Seoul, as the South Korean company has announced. The exact cause of death, Samsung did not provide information. Lee was 78 years old.
In may 2014, Lee was due to a heart attack to the hospital, from the corporate Mogul never should recover. In the past few years, South Korean media had speculated about his death.
Lee Kun Hee is the third son of Samsung founder Lee Byung Chull. He took over in 1987, the Board of Directors and made Samsung the world’s leading company for Smartphones, and the largest South Korean conglomerate. He was regarded as the richest South Koreans.
Since the 90s, Lee Kun Hee came repeatedly into conflict with the law. He was several times convicted of bribery, however, was always a pardon.
