The Spanish Government approved on Tuesday rules that meet after the next end of the confinement to prevent possible outbreaks of coronaviruswhen the pandemic is already taking its last gasps, but there is still no vaccine or treatment.

According to the official data, in the last 24 hours have not been notified of any deaths by COVID-19, while the spread amounted to 48, compared to 102 the previous day.

In total, la pandemic has caused 27.136 deaths, 56 in the last week, and there has been 241.717 casesconfirmed with PCR, according to data from the Ministry of Health.

With this scenario, the Executive will regulate what has been called “the new normal”, after more than three months of harsh mobility restrictions and social distancing measures, since the past march 14, to decree the confinement by the state of alarm.

Since then, the Government has been relaxing the restrictions as the pandemic was based in the different regions of spain, especially in the last month, until predictably, the next June 21, will conclude this process in the areas lagging behind in the desescalada, where the pandemic was most hard, as the Community of Madrid and Catalonia.

But the decree approved today by the Council of Ministers must be validated in the coming days by Congresswhere the parties that form the coalition government -the socialist party and the formation of United we Can – not have a majority, therefore they need to negotiate the support of other groups.

Of time, has negotiated the “yes” of the basque nationalists (PNV) and aims to elicit the support of the pro-independence Catalan republicans (ERC) and the liberal Citizens.

Among other measures, it is intended that the decree will collect the mandatory use of face masks on public transport and in spaces where it is not possible to ensure a physical distance of between one and a half metres and two metres.

In addition, to avoid potential foci and the spread of the disease, health authorities will need to have all of the data and means necessary to make a follow-up and epidemiological surveillance, that should facilitate all public or private centres that are able to identify or diagnose possible cases of COVID-19.

In addition, the health services must guarantee assistance to any suspected case of coronavirus, so they should make the test relevant in terms of you know the first symptoms.
