In addition to this, he faced the challenges of Lyme Disease, necessitating a hip replacement, and subsequent falls due to neuropathy, resulting in spinal fractures and lower spine nerve damage, rendering him bedridden.

Despite enduring months of recuperation in a long-term care facility, Jerry’s health struggles have persisted, and he now requires daily home visits for assistance with activities of daily living. A former independent and passionate greengrocer, Jerry has been unable to work throughout this prolonged health crisis.

Jerry’s devoted wife, Barbara Jean, has been a pillar of strength, supporting the family and caring for her husband to the best of her abilities. Unfortunately, she is now undergoing treatment for recurrent lung cancer, compounding the challenges faced by the Baldino family.

Both Jerry and Barbara Jean are grappling with COPD and diabetes, with Jerry recently diagnosed with bladder cancer. This relentless health decline has resulted in substantial medical bills, accumulating to $18,000, with their monthly income falling $1,000 short of covering their essential expenses. The threat of losing their home looms large, underscoring the urgency of the situation.

In light of these circumstances, Cindy is spearheading a fundraising effort to secure financial assistance for the Baldino family. Donations, regardless of the amount, are sought to alleviate the mounting medical bills and ensure ongoing care for Jerry and Barbara Jean.

“This almost unendurable period of health decline has landed the couple with $18,000 in insurance bills.
