The Athletic are the new champions of the West Division of the American League

Oakland (California, US), 21 sep (EFE).- The Oakland a’s were proclaimed this Monday new champions of the West Division of the American League after the defeat this evening by the Houston Astros to the Seattle Mariners.
The team of Oakland (33-20) won the title after the Seattle Mariners won by 6-1 to the Astros (27-27).
This is the first title divisional of the Athletes from the 2013.
The pass to the postseason is the sixth for the Athletics in the past nine years.
Only the Los Angeles Dodgers (eight), in the National League, have reached the playoffs more times than the Athletics during that period of time.
