The inaugural day of the conference, on June 13th, began with an auspicious opening featuring insightful welcome remarks from Dr. Jagannathan Ramaswamy, Senior General Manager – Sustainability, Sobha Realty. The day unfolded with a series of captivating sessions, featuring distinguished VIP keynotes, thought-provoking speeches by industry leaders, enlightening panel discussions, and informative presentations delivered by esteemed experts in the field.
The event was inaugurated by Eng. Aisha Al Abdooli, Director of Green Development & Environmental Affairs, Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, UAE, who delivered the opening keynote titled: “UAE’s vision 2050: The journey to a net-zero world – Challenges and Opportunities”. Eng. Aisha Al Abdooli’s profound insights set the stage for meaningful discussions on achieving a sustainable and net-zero future.
Other notable speakers included Joy Paul, Regional Leader – Analytics, AI, Risk & ESG, Gulf Business Machines, who delivered a VIP keynote on “Understanding the benefits of Green IT and sustainable practices,” and Sven Deckers, Director Strategy, Dubai Airports, who presented a thought leadership keynote on “Charting the Path to Sustainable Aviation: Dubai Airports’ Commitment and Plans.”
