The 42nd Concert Season for the Seattle Choral Company Has Been Announced

The Seattle Choral Company, led by Artistic Director Freddie Coleman has announced its 42nd Concert Season for 2023-2024.

Founded in 1982, the Seattle Choral Company has become one of the region’s most accomplished and respected choral organizations. They have toured internationally in Australia and Europe, and their work as cultural ambassadors has been commended by the Washington State legislature. The Seattle Choral Company recorded albums have received extensive exposure on the radio and they have recorded soundtracks for Public Television, and NBC, and their recordings have been used in dozens of motion picture movie trailers.

The concert, “An Italian Baroque Christmas,” will be performed on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at 8:00 p.m. at Saint Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral, 1245 10th Ave East, Seattle 98102. There will be pre-concert talk events at 7:00 p.m. with Seattle Choral Company Director, Freddie Coleman and at 7:30 p.m. This concert will feature “Gloria in D Major” by Antonio Vivaldi, “Nisi Dominus” by Georg Frideric Handel, and “Magnificat in B Flat” by Francesco Durante and the North Corner Chamber Orchestra. The concert, “Lux Aeterna,” will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. at Saint Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral, and there will be a pre-concert event at 7:00 p.m. with SCC Director Freddie Coleman. This concert will feature “Lux Aeterna” by Morten Lauridsen, “Misericordias Domini, K. 222” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, “Mass No. 2 in G Major” by Franz Schubert, and the North Corner Chamber Orchestra. The concert, “Chichester Psalms,” will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. with a pre-concert talk event at 7:00 p.m. with Seattle Choral Company Director Freddie Coleman at Seattle First Baptist Church at 1111 Harvard Avenue, Seattle 98122. This concert will feature “Chichester Psalms” by Leonard Bernstein, “I Will Lift Up Mine Eyes” by Adolphus Hailstork, and guest artist, Tenor Martin Bakari.

Subscription tickets for all concert events are discounted for a 10% savings. Individual tickets for each concert are non-reserved and are priced at $25.00 (general), $20.00 (seniors), $5.00 (youth & students), and free for children ages 6 to 10. At-the-door prices are $30 (general), $24 (seniors), $5 (youth & students), and free for children ages 6 to 10.
