Hip-hop has joined the NFT space with Mixtapes NFT

The Mixtapes is a collection of 5,555 generative NFTs, representing a love of hip-hop and the culture surrounding it!

 

HipHop fans are in luck as founder Jesse Maloof brings his artistic passion and love for HipHop together with The Mixtapes NFT launching on August 11th, the 49th anniversary of hip-hop.

The Mixtapes roadmap plans to provide the community with opportunities to attend VIP events at various shows, meet and greets, museum events, hall of fame events, and other dope real-life events.

 

There will be hand-made art pieces available to all holders, and 5 made with real diamonds that match their respective NFT for those that mint them. This project isn’t another derivative ape or punk project; it’s wholly unique. The traits are created using actual pieces from hip-hop history photographs and objects, rendered to be made into a cohesive “mixtape” of objects.

 

The collection features iconic pieces like Flava Flav’s clock necklace in the Smithsonian’s collection, Biggie’s crown from the “King of New York” photo shoot, Raekwon’s “Purple Tape,” LL Cool J’s red Kangol, and many others. Special editions also represent iconic albums, such as Wu Tang’s ’36 Chambers’ and De La Soul’s ‘3ft High and Rising”.

 

Jesse grew up in an artistic family and brought his passions of art and Hip Hop, which he says “saved his life,” together with this collection due to Web3 technology and hopes to get other like-minded people into this collection.

 

The initial plan is to sell out the OG Collection, but Maloof has plans to have merchandise, rewards in real life, meet-ups and parties in the future. The Mixtapes NFT is all about the community and bringing together people’s love for old school, golden era, hip-hop, and the elements surrounding it.
