Lufthansa is proceeding with the refund for the flights that have been cancelled in the Corona-crisis only slowly. Many customers have to wait.
Approximately 1.4 million customer of the Lufthansa group are still waiting for ticket refunds for flights that have been cancelled in the Corona-crisis.
The part of the nationalized companies came to their own information, but in the settlement in recent weeks and has paid in the current year of 2.3 billion euros to 5.4 million customers.
From the first half of the year approximately 8 percent of the cases were not completed, the company said in Frankfurt. They are supposed to be processed until the end of August. The mass of the open procedure, therefore, relates to younger cancellations.
Under EU law, airlines are required when you prompted cancellations for a refund of the ticket price within seven days.
