Ethereum Co-Founder Vitalik Buterin Surprises ETH Fans By Attending The Kyiv Tech Summit In Ukraine.

The Ethereum Co-founder Vitalik Buterin surprised his followers and fans earlier by attending a tech summit event in Kyiv, Ukraine. Buterin’s presence in Kyiv has been addressed as a symbolic action that shows his unconditional support towards Ukraine at a time when the country is embroiled in an intense war situation with Russia.

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has paid a surprise visit to Ukraine by marking his presence at the noteworthy Kyiv Tech Summit event. The event was attended by notable crypto entities and tech experts including Ukraine’s vice prime minister and Digital Transformation Minister for IT Development, Mykhailo Fedorov, and Federov’s deputy Alex Bornyakov.

Buterin’s surprising presence was not revealed earlier due to various security concerns per Coindesk. However, Buterin’s presence at the summit played an influential role and was intended to portray a stance of support and encouragement for the people of Ukraine. 

According to a news outlet ain. a, Buterin, while attending the Kyiv Tech Summit, expressed his thoughts extensively, adding that he was prompted to attend the summit out of sheer admiration that the particular event has instilled in him. 

He further shared how he wanted to come to Kyiv and attend the summit because he was curious about the fact that a major crypto event is being held in the capital of a country that is currently embroiled in a war-like situation. 

“It is incredible… I wanted to see with my own eyes what kind of projects and applications based on Ethereum technology are being created here, to get to know the people behind them,” he said.

Buterin further emphasized how he has been closely monitoring the Ukraine war situation and wanted to extend his unconditional support to the war-torn Ukrainians. 

“I have been following Ukraine closely since the war started…I wanted to come and see for myself… to just also let Ukraine know that lots of people in the Blockchain, Ethereum, crypto world care about you guys and lots of people support you.” Buterin later said 

Kyiv Tech Summit was a three-days web hackathon event held from September 6 to September 9. The event was organized by the charity blockchain fund Unchain Ukraine Together with Ukraine DAO. The event was organized with the intention to discuss and formulate tech solutions that can help Ukraine combat its current war situation with Russia.
