DT Mexico called Jimenez and “europeans” to face the Netherlands, and Algeria

MEXICO CITY, 30 sep (Reuters) – The technical director of the selection of soccer of Mexico, the argentine Gerardo Martino, convened Wednesday in front of the Wolverhampton Wanderers of England Raul Jimenez and most of the players who are active in european clubs to face the Netherlands and Algeria in friendlies.

In addition to Jimenez and the “europeans”, the “Tata” Martino called Jonatnan Dos Santos, Rodolfo Pizarro, Alan Pulido, who are active in clubs of Major League Soccer (MLS) of the united States.

The strategist released the call after Mexico beat 3-0 Guatemala in a friendly match that marked the return of the “Tri” to the activity after the interruption caused by the pandemic coronavirus that has left more than a million deaths around the world.

“In this call we have the players that we wanted to have,” said Martino in video conferencing after introducing the call.

Mexico visit to the Netherlands on the 7th of October at the stadium Johan Cruyff Arena in Amsterdam, and six days later will play against Algeria in the stadium Cars Jeans, in The Hague.

Below is the list of 26 summoned by the argentinean Gerardo Martino:
