Colts beat Titans and lead the division

NASHVILLE, Tennessee, USA (AP) — Philip Rivers threw for 308 yards and a touchdown for the Colts of Indianapolis, who beat Thursday’s 34-17 on the Titans of Tennessee to take advantage in the tiebreaker and placed as leaders of the South Division of the American Conference.

Nyheim Hines scored twice for the Colts (6-3), which will go on to face the Titans (6-3) on the 29th of November, but in Indianapolis. For now, his coach Frank Reich has improved to an overall record of 4-1 against Mike Vrabel, his colleague from Tennessee.

And Indianapolis now holds a mark of 14-5 in the Nissan Stadium.

“We made a great touchdown with the special teams. And on the offense we were running very well all day,” said Rivers, who claimed their first win in this series. “We were very balanced, we got into the right rhythm during the offensive without meeting. It was a great victory as visitors.”

The Colts arrived at the meeting with the best defense in the NL in terms of the fewest number of yards allowed. They foiled an attack in Tennessee that had averaged 384,6 yards per game, the tenth best figure in the NFL, and that he had scored 29 points for the duel, the seventh best statistics in the league.

E. J. Speed blocked a punt by T. J. Carrie returned six yards for a score at the end of the third period.

The Colts outgained Tennessee for 430 yards against 294, despite the fact that Derrick Henry ran for 103.

Tennessee lost for the third time in four matches, right when they begin their most difficult stretch of the campaign. After facing the Colts, we subtract the other three enemies in a row with at positive.
